Spicy Salmon Rice Bowl 🍣🌶️🍚


Ingredients :


For the Salmon :

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (adjust to your spice preference)

1 teaspoon honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


For the Rice Bowl :

2 cups cooked jasmine rice (or any rice of your choice)

1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced

1 avocado, sliced

1/4 cup shredded carrots

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

1 tablespoon pickled ginger (optional)


For the Spicy Mayo Sauce :

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon sriracha sauce

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil


Instructions :


Prepare the Salmon :

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.


In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar.


Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the fillets with the marinade.

 Sprinkle with salt and pepper.


Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.


Prepare the Spicy Mayo Sauce :

5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until smooth and well combined. Adjust the spice level with more sriracha if desired.


Assemble the Rice Bowl :

6. In bowls, layer the cooked rice, cucumber slices, avocado slices, shredded carrots, and green onions.


7. Once the salmon is cooked, flake it into chunks and place it on top of the rice and vegetables.


8. Drizzle the spicy mayo sauce over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds and pickled ginger, if using.
