Honey - 60 grams

Sugar – 40 grams

Salt - to taste

Black pepper - to taste

Soy sauce – 1/2 small spoonful

Orange juice – 80 grams

Garlic powder – 1/2 small spoonful

Onion powder – 1/2 small spoonful

Ginger - 1/2 small spoonful

Preparation of the Recipe:

First of all, we are going to prepare the barbecue sauce in which we will marinate our meat for several hours. To do this, we put all the ingredients in a saucepan (except for the ribs!). With the help of a hand whisk we mix well.

We take the saucepan to the fire. Cook, over medium heat, stirring regularly, until the sauce thickens, which may take us about 30 minutes. Once we have it ready, we remove it from the heat and let it temper down.

If the strip of ribs is very long we cut it into several pieces.

We put the ribs in a bowl and smear them, on all sides, with the barbecue sauce.

Cover the bowl and let the meat rest for at least 2 hours. The ideal is to leave it in the fridge until the next day. If you do so, we recommend taking the bowl out of the fridge from time to time to stir the meat.

After the maceration time has passed, we turn on the oven at 160º C.

We cut two sheets of aluminum foil. The size of the paper will vary depending on the length of the rib strips.

We wrap in the sheets of paper the pieces of ribs. We must seal the ends well to prevent the loss of juices.

Next, we put the packages inside a baking dish.

We take the dish to the oven. We bake, at 160º C, for two hours.

After the baking time has passed, we take the dish out of the oven and remove the aluminum foil. We put the meat back on the platter.

We raise the oven thermostat to 230º C in the “grill" position. We put the tray, or the grate, near the grill.

Brush the ribs on both sides with a good amount of barbecue sauce. We must place the meat with the bones in contact with the base of the source.

We take the dish to the oven. Bake, at 220º C, for about 15 minutes or until the meat is golden brown.

We remove and serve immediately.
